What AI Match is
AI Match is the need–offer matching layer in ImpactMatrix. Every posted Need and Offer is auto-matched and ranked by relevance, location and capability, surfaced under Needs Intelligence and Offers Intelligence tabs with filters for category, location, score and match status. This is donated-goods and capacity matching between organizations — not employer matching-gift processing for cash donations.

Questions
What is AI need–offer matching?
Need–offer matching connects a posted request for goods, transport, space or expertise with a posted offer of the same. ImpactMatrix auto-matches every Need and Offer on the network and ranks results by relevance, location and capability so a coordinator reviews a scored shortlist.
Is this the same as matching gifts or donation matching?
No. Matching gifts normally means an employer matching an employee's cash donation. AI Match connects a posted need for goods or capacity with a posted offer or Gifts in Kind listing from another organization — physical resources moving, not payroll-matched cash.
How is a match ranked?
Ranking weighs relevance, location and capability: what was asked against what is offered, whether the responder can reach the delivery point, and whether they can move at the scale requested. Filters for category, location, score and match status let you narrow further.
Does the AI decide where resources go?
No. The ranking produces a shortlist and every allocation decision stays with the people accountable for it. You can reject high-scoring matches that do not fit your storage, timeline or policy, and work further down the list without losing earlier records.
