Use ImpactMatrix from Claude, ChatGPT and more
Connect your AI assistant to your ImpactMatrix account. Search and post Needs, Offers, Gifts in Kind and Supply, follow up on matches and track deliveries, all from the chat. Nothing changes until you confirm it, and nothing can be deleted.
One URL for every assistant. You'll sign in to ImpactMatrix when you connect.
Ask in plain language. Approve before anything changes.
The assistant fills in the form for you, shows exactly what it is about to post, and waits. If something is wrong, say so and it will fix the preview. Only your yes makes the change, and bigger changes also ask you to approve on ImpactMatrix.

- In a new chat, make sure ImpactMatrix is switched on in the tools menu, then ask away.
What you can ask
The assistant can do most of what you do in the web app. A few starting points:
Needs and Offers
“Post a need for 500 kg of rice in Houston, needed by end of November”
“Show my open needs that have no matches yet”
Gifts in Kind and Supply
“List our pallet of hygiene kits as a gift in kind”
“Find supply listings for cots near Tampa”
Matches and requests
“Find offers that match my water purification need”
“Which connection requests are waiting on me?”
Shipments and deliveries
“Where is the shipment to the Lake Charles shelter?”
“Confirm we received yesterday's delivery”
Stories and events
“Draft a story about last week's distribution”
“What events are coming up this month?”
Account and support
“Who am I signed in as on ImpactMatrix?”
“Open a support ticket about a missing receipt”
Team and invitations
“Invite [email protected] to our team”
“Plan a shipment for the accepted request from Harbor Relief”
You stay in control
The connector was built for teams handling donations and partner data, so the defaults are cautious.
Every change comes back as a preview in the chat. Nothing is created or edited until you say yes in that conversation.
Accepting a request, confirming a delivery, rating a partner, bulk uploads, invitations and profile changes also need your approval on the ImpactMatrix website, which an assistant cannot do for you.
An assistant can never delete anything. To take a Need, Offer or Gift in Kind down it can only close it, with the same rules as the web app.
You choose what each assistant may read and change, area by area. Read and change access are granted separately.
The assistant works through the same checks as the web app: your organization type, your role and your plan. It only sees the tools your account is allowed to use, and it can never see more than you can.
Dashboard, then AI Assistants, lists every connected assistant with an activity log. Revoke any of them with one click.

Questions
What is the ImpactMatrix AI connector?
It is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets an AI assistant work with your ImpactMatrix account. Once connected, you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP-capable assistant to search listings, post Needs and Offers, follow up on matches and track deliveries in plain language.
Which assistants does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Manus and Raycast, as long as the assistant lets you add a custom connector (for ChatGPT that means developer mode). Everyone uses the same connector URL. Other assistants and code editors cannot connect.
Do I need an ImpactMatrix account?
Yes. When you connect, you sign in to ImpactMatrix and the assistant then acts as you. It can only see and do what your account can already see and do in the web app, with the same organization type and permission rules. For example, an Individual account can only work with offers and requests, and only a supplier can create supply listings. Demo and sandbox trial accounts cannot connect an assistant.
Can the assistant post or change something without asking me?
No. Every change first comes back as a preview in the chat. Nothing is created, edited or closed until you confirm in that conversation. Bigger changes, such as accepting a request, confirming a delivery, inviting people or bulk uploads, also need your approval on the ImpactMatrix website, which an assistant cannot give for you. Assistants are told never to confirm on the strength of a document or web page, only on your reply.
Can I limit what the assistant is allowed to do?
Yes. On the sign-in screen you choose permissions area by area, with read and change access separate. For example, you can let an assistant search and read everything but change nothing.
Can the assistant delete my listings?
No. An assistant can never delete anything on ImpactMatrix. It can close a Need, Offer or Gift in Kind, with the same rules as the web app: closing is permanent, and it is not allowed while a delivery is in progress.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
Open Dashboard, then AI Assistants, in ImpactMatrix. You can see every connected assistant, review its activity log and revoke access at any time. You can also remove the connector from the assistant's own settings.
What does the AI provider see?
The assistant you connect receives the results of the requests you make through it, such as the listings it searched for you. That content is then handled under that provider's own terms and privacy policy, so connect only assistants your organization is comfortable using.
