One ranked list instead of twelve phone calls.
Match your needs to real offers instead of working a phone tree.
AI Match is need–offer matching for nonprofits: every Need and Offer posted on ImpactMatrix is auto-matched, then ranked by relevance, location and capability. You review a scored shortlist in Needs Intelligence rather than calling twelve organizations to find the one with a truck.

What need–offer matching means here
AI Match is the matching layer inside ImpactMatrix. Every Need and every Offer posted to the network is auto-matched and ranked by relevance, location and capability, and surfaced under two tabs — Needs Intelligence and Offers Intelligence — with filters for category, location, score and match status. This is donated-goods and capacity matching between organizations, not employer matching-gift processing.
What you can do
Four moves that replace an afternoon of calls.
Open your posted Needs and read the ranked responses. Relevance, location and capability are what the ranking weighs, so a warehouse in the next county outranks a national partner who can't get a truck out until Thursday.
Work the other direction. When you post spare capacity, see which organizations have needs it fits — useful for a food bank with cold storage nobody knows about.
Narrow by category, location, score and match status. Triage the top of the list during a response; work the long tail on a quiet week.
Take a ranked match forward into a shipment, or into a Gifts in Kind claim, without re-entering the details anywhere.
How matching runs on a live need
Post the need with real numbers
Category, quantity and location drive the ranking. Vague asks produce vague matches — this is the one place precision pays immediately.
Read the ranked list
Open Needs Intelligence and sort by score. Filters let you drop anything outside your operating area or below a workable score.
Move the winner into fulfillment
Advance the match to a shipment or a GIK claim, then confirm delivery at the far end so the record closes.
Why ranking beats broadcasting
The problem
The classic failure in U.S. donations management isn't scarcity, it's mismatch: forty pallets of clothing nobody requested arriving while three shelters can't find box fans. Broadcasting a need to everyone produces noise and a warehouse full of the wrong thing.
What the platform does
Auto-matching every posted Need and Offer, then ranking by relevance, location and capability, turns a broadcast into a shortlist. Six organization types are on the same network, so the answer can come from a supplier, a foundation, a county agency or the nonprofit two towns over.
The artifact
A match score history that shows why a resource went where it went — the answer to the board question "how did you decide?" and the audit question "who else was considered?"
Not a listing board, and not matching gifts
A listing board shows you what exists and leaves the reconciliation to you. Workplace giving platforms match cash, not cots. AI Match sits between a live Needs feed and a live Offers feed, scores both sides against each other continuously, and hands the shortlist to the person who has to sign for the pallet.
Use ImpactMatrix when
You post needs or capacity regularly and want ranked, location-aware responses that carry through to shipment and delivery records.
Use something else when
You want employer matching-gift automation for cash donations. That's a different category and a different vendor.

Where this sits in the chain
Every posted need travels the same path. Follow it forward or back.
Questions
What is AI Match in ImpactMatrix?
AI Match is the matching layer that auto-matches every Need and Offer posted on the platform and ranks results by relevance, location and capability. Nonprofits work the ranked list under the Needs Intelligence and Offers Intelligence tabs, with filters for category, location, score and match status.
How does AI Match rank a match?
Ranking weighs relevance, location and capability. Relevance compares what was asked for against what is offered, location favors organizations that can realistically reach the delivery point, and capability reflects whether the responder can move at the scale requested. A coordinator still makes the final call.
Is AI Match the same as donation matching or matching gifts?
No. Matching gifts and donation matching normally describe an employer matching an employee's cash gift. AI Match connects a posted Need for goods, transport, space or expertise with a posted Offer or Gifts in Kind listing from another organization on the network.
Do I have to accept the top-ranked match?
No. The score is a shortlist, not an instruction — every allocation decision stays with your team. You can filter by score and match status, reject matches that don't fit your storage or timeline, and work further down the list without losing the earlier records.
Does AI Match cost extra?
No. AI Match is part of the nonprofit subscription, which starts at $29.99 per month for a single user and drops per user on Growth, Community and Enterprise plans. It is available during the 30-day free trial, which requires no credit card.
