Everything your intake system was never built to do.

Keep your pantry system. Fix everything upstream of it.

Food bank coordination on ImpactMatrix covers what your intake and inventory system does not: sourcing donated goods from outside the network, matching partner-agency needs to offers, moving goods with a custody record, and confirming delivery — plus every non-food category your agencies ask for and you have no channel for.

In one paragraph

Food bank coordination software helps a food bank source, match and move donated goods across its partner network. ImpactMatrix handles the coordination layer — posting needs, claiming corporate surplus through Gifts in Kind, hazard-specific sourcing in Find Supplies, shipments with chain of custody, delivery confirmation and receipts, plus a private branded network for partner agencies. It does not replace client intake, visit tracking or USDA commodity reporting.

What you can do

Real button and tab names. Nothing here is on a roadmap.

Create Need

Post what the network is short of this week — pallet positions, refrigerated transport, hygiene kits, school supplies, box fans in July. Agencies stop emailing the same ask to four staff.

Request to Claim

Claim corporate surplus that never reaches the food network: cleaning supplies, diapers, personal care, household goods, seasonal stock. Categories your donors have and your agencies request constantly.

Internal Matrix

Run your partner agencies as a private branded network. Internal Needs, Internal Offers and Total Resources give you a live capacity picture instead of a monthly survey.

Deliveries

Confirm delivery at the agency and the receipt is generated from that confirmation — the documentation your corporate donors and grantors ask for.

How it runs

01

Leave intake alone

Keep Link2Feed, Oasis Insight, PantrySoft, Service Insights or whatever runs your client visits. Nothing here touches it.

02

Put agency asks on the network

Agencies post needs; you see them ranked and aggregated instead of buried in inboxes.

03

Source, move, confirm

Claim surplus, buy what's missing near the site, ship with custody, confirm at the agency.

Why this is hard today

The problem

Food banks are well served for intake and pounds reporting and badly served for everything else. Non-food requests have no channel, off-network corporate surplus arrives by email with a 48-hour deadline, and partner-agency capacity is known only when someone answers the phone.

What the platform does

A coordination layer over the top: needs and offers across your agencies, GIK claiming from six organization types, hazard sourcing, custody and delivery proof.

The artifact

A confirmed delivery record per agency, a donor receipt, and a distribution report with SDG tags — without asking agencies to enter anything twice.

Explicitly not a pantry management system

Client intake, visit frequency, USDA commodity inventory and pounds-distributed reporting are well covered — some of it at no cost inside the national food-bank network. Competing there would be a waste of your time and ours. The gap is the coordination layer above it: goods that come from outside the food network, categories that aren't food, and proof that a partner agency actually received what you sent.

Use ImpactMatrix when

You need off-network and non-food supply, partner-agency needs and offers in one place, and delivery proof for donors and grantors.

Use something else when

You need client intake, visit tracking, TEFAP/USDA commodity reporting or pounds-to-network reporting. Keep the system you have — they are good at it and often free to you.

Questions

Does ImpactMatrix replace our food bank software?

No. Client intake, visit tracking and USDA commodity reporting stay in your existing pantry system. ImpactMatrix adds the coordination layer above it: off-network sourcing, partner-agency needs and offers, shipments with chain of custody, and delivery confirmation with receipts.

Can we use it for non-food donations?

Yes, and that is usually the fastest win. Hygiene products, cleaning supplies, diapers, school supplies, household goods and seasonal stock all move through Gifts in Kind, and those are the categories most food networks have no channel for.

How does it help our partner agencies?

Agencies post their own needs and offers into a private branded network you run, so you see live capacity and shortfalls instead of surveying quarterly. Goods moved between you and them carry a custody record and a confirmed delivery.

What does it cost a food bank?

Nonprofit plans are seat-based: $29.99 per month for a single user, then $24.99, $19.99 or $14.99 per user on Growth, Community and Enterprise. There is a 30-day free trial with no credit card, and ImpactVolunteer is included.
