GIK listings can be created by any organisation type on the platform — nonprofit, business, academia, foundation, government, or supplier. Only nonprofits can browse and claim listings.

Only registered nonprofit organisations can send claim requests. Every other organisation type can post a listing, but none of them can claim one — including from each other.

Only organisations registered on the platform as a nonprofit type can send a claim request in the first place. Donors also see the claiming organisation's profile before accepting, so every handoff goes to a verified, accountable recipient.

When a donor posts a listing, the platform queries nonprofits with matching needs by category and location. The top 10–15 candidates are then re-ranked by GPT-4o-mini, which scores each nonprofit 0–100 based on alignment with the donation. The top five results are shown to the donor.

The tax receipt PDF is generated automatically when the connection status is marked as completed — meaning the donor has accepted a claim request. The donor can download it from the listing's card at any time after that point.

Yes, if the donor enabled the Partial Donations option when creating the listing. Donors set this per listing — it is shown as a badge on the listing card.
